Friends of Warnham Local Nature Reserve

What Do I Need Around the Reserve?

A Permit - available from the Visitor's Centre. You will need one to enter the Reserve. You will also need an Annual Permit to join the Friends.

During or just after wet weather you will need boots - although some paths are hard-surfaced, you will be crossing grassland to access the Reserve, and this can be quite soggy. Paths at the far end of the board walks can be muddy

Binoculars - essential for all bird-watchers, and pretty useful for seeing other things as well

Hand-lens - a thing not everyone thinks of, but very useful for examining all manner of small things

Waterproof Clothing - it may have been fine when you set out, but you can get pretty wet if it starts raining when you are at the other end of the Reserve

NOTE:- Only those with permission from the Wardens may collect or remove samples

If you do pick up things to look at, put them back where you found them. It was probably someone's home, so treat with respect!
